Let’s face it. When we think of 2020, there are a few words that come to mind, and uncertainty is definitely one of them. So, how do we take control of our mindset when everything around us seems to be far from in control? Here’s our 4 must-knows.
Mindset matters. One way our daily mindset is determined is by the story we tell ourselves every day. We can’t change what happened yesterday and tomorrow hasn’t happened yet so let’s focus on what’s right in front of us – this moment.
What story are you telling yourself when beginning your day? You are in fact a storyteller and this life is your story.
A major way that storytellers plant their values and lessons is to be in the moment when telling the story. Sharing a positivity story everyday with yourself not only drastically shifts your mindset but drives you to be subconsciously manifesting good things!
Through our stories, we can reveal the motivation and strength we need to take on our day and overcome our challenges.
When was the last time you did something just for you? For many of us, we’re wearing the many hats of mother, partner, boss, teammate, son or daughter and even business owner. All of these hats have one thing in common – all of our energy is dedicated to something other than ourselves.
Filling your own cup is important to continue filling others’. Schedule self-care into your weekly routine and make the most of it.
Whether it’s your favourite hobby, meditation sessions, special rituals just for you such as a face mask or bath [or both! Treat yourself!] or just some downtime on the couch, self- care is crucial for everyone.
Remember, self-care is not selfish.
What was once good for you, may not be good for you in this very moment, or anymore! In times of isolation and lockdown, we’ve been able to choose who we see, who we interact with and who we connect with. Powerful stuff, right?!
In times of uncertainty, having the power to choose who and what you’re surrounded by can seriously support you in maintaining a healthy mindset. Get comfortable with saying no and acknowledge those gut feelings (more often than not, they’re right!). You’re in the driver’s seat of what sparks your joy.
Checking In With Yourself
We’ve all found ourselves in a scenario that has made us check in with ourselves. It could be acknowledging a feeling, emotion, physical change or even your most recent exchange of words. Why did you respond the way you did? Does it evoke positivity or something we’d rather avoid happening again? Raising your level of consciousness is the key to self-awareness and personal growth,
Becoming more aware of what we do and what we say can do wonders for our personal development. That feeling of being awakened when we reach higher levels of consciousness allows us to be part of the world, not be at odds with it.
